lol i like the comments, obviously the ones that hate on ED, usually grips other companies nuts. i have ED and i must say that there products are awesome, my 13Ov.3 sub is amazing.

Just because you dont know eD's long history of lying to its customers, and potential customers, is no reason to hate on people who do know.

The fact you think this sub will outsell the W7 just tells me your experience/common sense.

eD could sell them for 100 a piece and they would not come near JL's market share

well not at first, i am going on with their current products, they have done so much and their rep is growing big time. i am sure its not going to sell right away, because people who dont know ED as well wouldnt take a chance unless they seen visual proof that it is indeed a awesome sub. but once people start buying it, i am positive its going to sweep the audio world.

that is what i am going on, i have their products and i would never switch to JL, hey i heard a lot of JL equipped rides, and they sound awesome. but i could never switch my 13Ov.3 for a W6. W7 doesnt compare to that sub, it will with the 13Av.2

And Im sorry, but again eD is anything but 'well respected', unless you only hang out on their message board. I think it would be closer to say eD is generally hated than respected. Most of their customers these days are likely people like you, who dont realize the deceitful history the company has had (and continues to this day imo), and want to build it up as 'respectable' because you use their products.

eD's gonna need to show better quality, and MUCH better ethics for a good long time before I even consider buying from them again. Their new 120mil butyl mat? Sub quality, as per independant tests have already shown. This new sub? Gee, looks almost EXACTLY like a W7. eD couldn't come up with a new, original and successful idea even if it spewed from their posterior in turd form.

eD, and its owner Ben Milne, were caught red handed lying about their previous 'butyl rubber based' mat. Problem was, it wasn't butyl rubber based as eD claimed, it was the old asphault garbage. eD refused to admit it only until AFTER third-party testing showed without a doubt that it was a lie. Even the advertised thickness of the stuff was over exgarrated. Ben's excuses ranged from 'oops I measured thickness with the paper backing on, silly me' to 'oops, we dont really do QC checks on the mat, we just label it and send it out... dont blame us!'. The man is either incompetent, or an out and out liar. My guess, a combination.

Now this new 120mil mat, clearly made of inferior butyl rubber (when compared to 'real' brands like secondskin) and the advertised mylar/alum layer is *surprise surprise* exgarrated (yet again).

Then there was the whole cone breakage issue with dozens (and dozens and dozens) of returned subs that received 1) no refund, and 2) no new sub.

Not trying to be a dick, but do some research before you start using terms like respectable or good reputation. eD has/is neither.

The motor looks like a version of the XXX, Basket looks like a W7 with slight changes, Surround looks like its off a Eclipse wide as hell lol. I thought they were using the huge Sub seen earlier in the thread but this is the one that is supposed to be released.
