edead or fatmat?

i have edead and its still in the same place as before. people who claim it failed on them was their fault, if you prep the surface and make sure its clean, you should have no problem.

edead is the best bang for the buck

That's false. Read this.

The version that's been out for a few weeks may be a good value. It's certainly not true for the previous asphalt and butyl/Mylar versions.

I have two different kinds of edead in my car, and both have done well... I would continue to use it in the future, as it's a good value, and you can usually get it for a discount by using one of their coupon codes. If you want to purchase some, try using the code edeadba.

You are entitled to your opinion, as wrong as it may be. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/tongue.gif.6130eb82179565f6db8d26d6001dcd24.gif
One of the big problems with eDead over the years has been consistency. Yours has worked well for you, does that mean everyone who has reported serious failings means they all applied it incorrectly? That's exactly the excuse ben has used, for many years, even when shown proof of a solid install procedure. Yep, Ben and eD have claimed 'installer error' not 'product failure' every step of the way... right up until the change their mat AGAIN. How many times has eD changed their mat in the past 5 or 6 years? Now, how many times has SS or Raammat? That alone should tell you something. And the fact that Ben insists the product is perfectly fine, and any/all problems associated with it involve user error... right up until he changes the mat AGAIN... should tell you something too. Or, does eD keep changing their crappy *** mat because their customers dont know how to use it? //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/rolleyes.gif.c1fef805e9d1464d377451cd5bc18bfb.gif

Come on man, just when I think you are pulling your head out of Ben's ***, you come up with another reply like this one.

Bull. I've had 2 pieces of eDead fall off.... oddly enough, the pieces on the horizontal surface of my trunk lid haven't fallen... it was two of the vertical pieces.

You are obviously lying, or incompetent. na_rsx hasn't had any problems, so OBVIOUSLY the mat is a good product and nobody else should have problems, unless they are a major fuck up.

Lol your sarcasm is weak.

Mind you, I have some of the older Edead... Edead v1^2

Oh, and even if they finally did come out with a competent mat product (this latest... latest one)... why would you want to support a company who has used its customers as guinea pigs to do their R&D for them? Why would you support a company who out and out LIED and said a previous version was butyl rubber, when it was not? Why would you trust a company who was caught intentionally altering advertised specs to make their mat look better? Why would you trust a company who, when caught lying about their specs, blamed it on piss poor quality control procedures, but blew that off as normal?

Oops I accidently left the cardboard tube still inserted, while weighing the roll of mat to devise an advertised weight spec. Oops, looks like my scale doesn't work right either, it reads way high, guess I should have that fixed some day huh? Oh and eDead v1, sure its butyl rubber based, TRUST ME. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/rolleyes.gif.c1fef805e9d1464d377451cd5bc18bfb.gif

eD is borderline criminal in many of their actions. I wont even get into the speaker scandals, many of which WERE illegal. On the mat topic alone, eD has given themselves black eye after black eye, but there always seems to be a swarm of cheap-***** following right behind in order to try out their next utter failure of a deadener mat. The noobies are excused. But those of you who KNOW eD's reputation, who KNOW eD's propensity to LIE/CHEAT/STEAL in any way they can, should know better than to purchase said mat from them. Its like someone beating their head against a wall, thinking with every hit that surely this time the wall will be soft and comfortable. Well, keep beating your head against that wall, see what happens.

When I got my eDead, a lot of this info hadn't come to light yet. I know my eDead (V1^2) doesn't smell at all like an asphalt based deadener. I never had experience with the original V1 though.

And it was also the first deadener I ever used.

LOL ok? it is not similar to edead or raammat as it is asphalt based. Its similar to the original dynamat or original edead which i was discontinued because it does not perform properly. The stickyness has nothing to do with anything, it how its going hold up under heat.
Well you being in dallas and me in michigan...it will hold up differantly...for climates that dont get too hot, go with fatmat for a budget

how long ago was that................my poin exaclty. stop living in the past people!!1

not going to defend the past, just the present!!
