I used that in my girlfriends car, honestly the best budget deadener ive used and i have used alot.(edead, fatmat, peel and seal etc)

He gave me more than i ordered too. The foil is not as thick as raammat or dynamatt but the overall thickness is right up there. I shoulda taken some comparison pictures.

I did not like the FatMat. It smelled badly and got tar all over my fingers when it was warm. Who knows what will happen in the summer when the trunk gets above 100F. I am a proud Second Skin customer. My results all across the board have been great.

Are you on a budget? Second skin is a far superior product to anything mentioned in this thread...

ok for real...listen to me...I have used both and edead is SHIT....fatmat is much better and thicker. 3 layers of edead may equal 1 of fatmat...and fatmat is plenty sticky, and never peeled off. If I did a budget setup I would use fatmat anyday. Edead is a crock of shit which I have some in my garage that i will never use again still. Edead is so thin, and cheap and just seems worthless

BTW Famat is nothing more than Peel and seal with a blue logo stamped on it, it is not a Butyl rubber deadener and should not be used in a vehicle..

stfu...it is MUCH thicker than edead and way thicker than peel and seel. I would say that fatmat was more similar to raamat....but im not a chemist..just goin on how sticky it is and how thick..

LOL ok? it is not similar to edead or raammat as it is asphalt based. Its similar to the original dynamat or original edead which i was discontinued because it does not perform properly.

The stickyness has nothing to do with anything, it how its going hold up under heat.

Since the ad doesn't say if it is asphalt or butyl, assume asphalt - on eBay, half the time when they claim butyl for off-brand products, it turns out to be asphalt anyway. Foil thickness is critical to performance.

eDead comes in 3 thicknesses. FatMat is thicker than the thinnest previous version of eDead - v1². FatMat is thinner than the medium and thickest versions of eDead. All versions of eDead have been changed recently and since I haven't seen them, I can't comment. FatMat and RAAMmat are completely different products since RAAMmat is butyl.
