Is there much difference between the Elemental Designs EDead V1^2 and the V1SE^2???

I am trying to keep my costs down while retaining a good result so I am wondering what you sacrifice or gain by going with one vs. the other. The deadening is for my doors so I want it to be good enough quality to stay adhered in all weather conditions. If I go with the V1 instead of the V1SE will I need more layers of it to give a comparable result? Just trying to figure out the $0.60 difference per sq/ft and which one is better for my application.

i used the v1se in my tc to deaden the doors. the stuff works good, sticks well, and is priced really well. i plan to buy more to deaden other places in the car.

v1se is much better than v1 but raammat is still better than both. u can get 62.5 sq ft of raammat for 99$ + 16 - 20$ on shipping whereas v1se which it is most comparable to is worse and only a few bucks cheaper.

mylar backing + butyl = fire hazard crap. the backing will separate from the butyl, and wont withstand as much heat that an foil+butyl combo can handle. atleast eD got rid of the asphalt base.

the raamat would be a better solution at a price standpoint IMO.

X2=Spend the few extra bucks and use the Raamat you be glad you did.

Nope. I jus did my rear doors an hatch of my explorer with raamat an coudnt be happier. Very felxiable an sticks like a *****. An shipping wouldnt be too bad since their out of Utah

i believe it use to be a mix of butyle with parts of asphalt, but im pretty sure he went pure butyl over this last year or so. dont quote me on it though.

All the old asphalt mats had *some* butyl in them. Very little. It was a binding agent iirc. Anyway, Raamat BXT, the good stuff... and what everyone means when they recommend "raamat", is butyl based. And always has been so far as I know.
