OK... I picked up a 15" MMATS Juggernaut from adrian1185 on here quite a little while back. When I got it I checked teh coils and one was like 1.38 and the other 1.49 or so. I also hooked it up to an amp and it worked fine there too. It then sat in my office in a box for a few months as I was trying to sell it. I ended up putting it on ebay and it sold for $265 plus $35 shipping. Payment was due within 72 hours of auction end, I sent him an invoice with no response. I sent him a message and an invoice every day (after the 72 hours) for over a week with no response. So I filed a non-payment claim and relisted it.

about Two days later he finally paid me through paypal. The day I shipped it out I took it to the local shop and had it tested and it was good again. I sent it out to hi and he got it yesterday. Today I get an email saying he wants a refund because one of the coils is blown. I told him it was checked by me and a local shop and checked good both times. He said he has another Juggernaut that has a blown coil which is why he bought this one so my theory is that he is going to try and pass his blown one as the one I sold him and try to get a refund.

What do you think the chances are that I will be ****ed out of $300?

If you stated as-is in your ebay claim, you have nothing to worry about. And if he screws you over somehow, tell us where he lives and I'm sure someone on here is close to him and will be happy to beat his ass.

check the numbers on the subs to make sure its yours??? or just find some way to prove he is sendign you a different subwoofer and not yours...also get a written statement from the local shop saying subwoofer was tested and was 100% fine

right now he isn't sending me anything...this is the extent of it so far....

from him: "I need a refund this sub have a burn voicecoil and only plays on one terminal. This was a blown speaker that you sold me for $300 dollar I could have got the one I have fixed. How can I go about getting my money back?"

I replied: "That is not true. The subwoofer was tested at a local shop and was in 100% PERFECT working order when it was shipped. Both voice coils read 1.4~ ohm which is perfect. The item was listed AS-IS no returns but either way, as I stated, it was in 100% PERFECT working order with the scuffs on the surround being the ONLY issue with it."

no reply yet...

Since you had "as-is" on the listing you should be fine. but paypay is all "buyer protection" so who knows. He might also be trying to send you HIS busted woofer.

I sold an auto meter gauge that was "as-is" and "no gauranteed international shipping". So ofcourse the gauge never made it to him even though i had a tracking number and insurance on it and paypal still refunded his money. Then the package was delivered a week later and paypal wouldn't give me the money back. So even though you follow pretty much every rule in the book, paypal can still refund the money.
