Tell him you didnt get any money and if you dont hear back from him in however many days it says you give people to pay for the item file an ebay claim and re list your item that simple.

I'm not stupid I know it's a scam I'm not sending anything to him. I've never sold anything on ebay before. I suspected it was a fake paypal email thing because I know what paypal emails look like because I've sold on here before. I was just asking if there is anything I could do aside from email ebay.

Go ahead and email them, they wont do a thing. This is all to common on ebay. Just relist it, and put restrictions on your auction such as only people with certain amount of feedback can purchase, or paypal immediately. That way, if they dont pay through paypal at that exact moment, the auction doesnt end, and nothing can be done.

It's a scam...fake paypal e-mail...same exact thing happened to me when i was selling my 360 on ebay.
do not ship the laptop until you have money in your paypal.

x2, when I was selling my psp some *** did the same thing saying that the money will be in the account once the item gets shipped. I clicked on the paypal link and it went to a yahoo page, at that point I called paypal and they told me that they dont do business like that //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif . Send him a response stating that you are on the way to the shipping address to kill him and his family.

Yea, just ignore it, relist it like suggested. It doesnt prevent shit like this, but atleast for me, ive noticed it not happen as much.

To do what? They wont do anything specifically for him. They most likely get a ton of complaints about this shit every day. The best way to deal with it is set your auction up properly and just be smart.

Ummm, why not CALL eBay. There is a special gadget that has been around for over a century. It's called a telephone. It does this neat little trick where you can talk to someone through this special device and get instant verbal communication. You should try it sometimes. I get a kick out of it every time I use it.
