ebay buyer problem

I just sold a phone on ebay. I was going to ship it out today, but before I did, i got an email from the buyer saying that their mother bought them a phone after they purchased one from me and they want to cancel the transaction. I dont feel like going thru the whole auction process again, so should I just cancel the transaction and refund their money or just ship the phone to them?

 
I would just cancel it and refund the money, do you really want to open that whole can of worms? Most likely he'll just say it was broken when he received it or something. Just file a non-paying buyer claim and you should get your listing fee's refunded.

Tell them too late, it was shipped. All sales final and be done with it.

Did you list a return policy?

 
make sure you write down the numbers on the phone. Something sounds kind of sketchy to me.... Youll ship a working phone and get back a broken one...
I did. After I shipped they sent me an email asking why they haven't got it yet, when I shipped it the day after the auction ended.

Gotta love folks who dont read the auction details and then ask that same question, I get that every now and again, they will win the auction and like 2 day's (1 of the days being the day of auciton closing) later ask why they havent recived the item yet, when it clearly states in all my actions up to 5 handling time.

 
And right after the auction ended, they complained about the $9.99 shipping, I charged. I guess they don't know that the price isn't just the shipping price.

Hopefully I won't have to deal which another person like that.
