e-series

they replaced them with the A-series to replace flaws that the E-series had. They're the same price and wattage as the E-series. The boards are nearly identical, too. The only differance is that they have different, more massive heatsinks (the e-series would overheat too easily due to a small heatsink), and when they overheat, they won't shut off. Instead, the volume rolls back until the amp reaches an acceptable temperature.
thanks for the info...mine doesn't seem to do that....but then again i'm not running any subs off it...btw where do you find out about things like this? I thought I had done some homework and would know about any potential problems....but obviously I wasnt looking in the right places...yeah not to brag but I don' t "hear" this amp at all...very clean and detailed. I noticed that they added a switch to the preamp inputs to make them high / low kind of glad I have the old version in a way...it's just more stuff I won't use that adds noise....
