Dynamat inside of box?

I was reading that back-wave distortion occurs when sound waves generated from the rear of a speaker bounce back to the speaker cone, interfering with the speaker's operation and causing distortion. By placing Dynamat on the inside of the box it would absorb, diffuse, and weaken rear waves, eliminating distortion. I just wanted to get someone elses opinion on the matter.

Wouldn't it make it worse then?

you would need deflex or w.e its called. Or the egg carton looking foam.

What about using a box fill material? That's supposed to give you a more even response and help with the backwaves causing distortion. Take this as both a question and a suggestion. I'm tying to learn something here too.
