do these things work? i dont understand how they could, but walmart has one for like $50 so i might wanna give it a try. and if it comes with one of those high def cables it would be totally worth it.

It works essentially on the same idea of a upconverting DVD player.

And most of those work pretty impressively.

your speaking another language man lol. i dont know anything about this stuff. i just saw a couple at walmart. i think they were like $40 and $70. i remember at least 1 of them was a brand name, philips maybe? what would be one worth buying?

If you get a good one, they are very impressive. Not blu-ray quality, but pretty close.

If it's not recorded in HD how can a dvd player convert it to HD,i have supposedly a very good 1 and I can't tell a difference

i have one of the philips. last years model , iirc.

went for $34 at wallyworld. works great.

not blu ray by any means , but its much better than standard dvd quality. i have it on cheaper hdmi cables and it only lets me upconvert to 720p. but thats fine with me for now....

they do get up there.

like i said , i got the cheapo ones thatll only go up to 720p....

It dont make much differance really. Im still gonna get Blue Ray soon, its a good carry over if u plan on Blue Ray later.

I found my HDMI cables on Craigslist for $10 each. I got 3 for $25 though
