DVD burning problem.. help!

Sometimes I can copy and burn like 6 dvd's in a row with no problem, then the next few of the same dvd (using Nero to burn them) will burn fine but not work in any dvd player. WHAT GIVES?!?!?

Is a VCD the same as a DVD?

Sorry, I am HARDLY a noob.. I only said that as an example. I just got home from class and work and tried to burn a dvd and the same crap happened. It burns successfully but just wont play in a dvd player

Is a VCD the same as a DVD?

No, a DVD can hold 7 times the capacity of a VCD, and VCD is a common CD that holds only ~80 minutes of play time. A DVD on the other hand can hold much more data than that, and therefore have much longer videos on it.
