DVC wiring help.....?

Ok so I just got into car audio and don't know much at all but thats what you guys are for right?//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/naughty.gif.94359f346c0f1259df8038d60b41863e.gif All I know is what I've read and been told so if I am incorrect please set me straight. THANKS!!!

I'm not really sure how I should be wiring my sub.

Lightning Audio amp running 250 Watts x 1 @ 4-Ohms bridged

Diamond D3 DVC dual 2ohm 400rms sub.

I'm currently running only one voice coil off of it. Is this fine since I'm only getting 250 out of the amp or should I rewire the sub series or parallell? Am I presenting a 2ohm load to my amp with just the one coil? is this bad if I have it bridged at 4ohms? What would be the best way to wire it to get the most out of my amp? So confused....

first off. never run just one coil of your sub. they are not ment to work that way. second if your amp puts out 250 at 4 ohm then your are probably seeing 500 at 2 ohms, just wiring your sub in series would give you the 4 ohm load and the 250 watts, wiring it in parallel would put you at 1 ohm which i doubt your amp can handle bridged. so just put it in series any youll be fine
