DVC to two channel amp

Is it possible to run a DVC sub and run each coil to one channel on my amp? My amp is not stable at 2ohm in bridged mode and running one lead to each channel on my amp is the only way to hook up a sub somebody is trying to give me for cheap.

I seem to get mixed answers whenever I ask people at best buy about this. Talked to a guy on crutchfield also who was pretty confused by the concept.

I'm not an expert, but short answer... Yes but you'll have to match gains and all their settings so you're not causing any issues with each VC seeing a different sigal..

but if you're amp is not 2 ohm stable I think (again I could be wrong) once you wire it to the sub it would be seeing that 2 ohm load... Might help to mention the sub(s) and amp so we see what you're up against!

Assuming sub has dual 4ohm, I would say the SAFEST way is to wire your sub in series to 8 ohms and bridge the amp.

these are the two items.

so the amp is 2 ohm stable per a channel but not in bridged mode.

You can run it 2ch to 1 sub. Ive done it many times with no problem

Yes, you can, but I'd get a mono amp for a sub.

well i will be buying a mono amp for the sub once something goes wrong with the one i have now. rather not replace the amp i got if i dont have to though.
