to tell u the truth this is my first time using the meter, all the other times ive installed systems iv'e used my ear, ive done over 10 differnt system installs, i havent had 1 person come back to me yet with problems

well according to Alex (ED tech) his write up on amplifer gain and crossover tutorial, he says use the 150hz tone

x2. by DMM is more accurate if your a noob, but im to the point where i can set gains by ear and come within 1v + or - of what the formula says they should be. DMM is good though if youre powering 2 subs with 2 amps and they share a chamber though...

well tried both 50hz and 150hz and it does the same shit for both of them

See if your DMM is capable of reading accurately at 150 hz. I know mine only reads accurately between 50-60 hz.

yea its the 2nd one ive had today, had one from radio shack, did the same thing, then i returned it bought the one from walmart and that does the same thing
