so how old was the guy? by the way it isnt who ever is in the intersection has the right a way. only time you can turn without being hit is when you have a protected turn with a green arrow.

perhaps he thought he had enough time and wasn't expecting someone to go through an intersection at 45 mph?

And I wasn't saying that he had the right of way at all... I was just saying, by the situation you described, he was in the intersection before you.

Leading me to believe he probably thought he had enough time to clear it.

he started his turn as i was either entering the intersection, or **** close. i was going 45 as i was approaching the intersection from the light before that and just cruising at the speed limit. he had a green light with a sign saying "yield to oncoming traffic on green" or something like that. i know you guys have been to a light where you get a left turn arrow but after the arrow goes away you can still turn but the people going the other direction have the right of way.

i'd say the guy was mid 50's or older. i really couldn't tell as after the collision i hobbled to my truck bed and stayed there until they put me into a c-collar for my neck and put a back brace under me. i'll have pics today though and show ya my truck.

he had a sore neck and back and a cut on his head. as much as this might make me sound like a dick, i don't care past that. he wasn't paying attention enough to think he should stop so i don't care past knowing he's going to live. my main reason for being pissed is b/c my ortho doc keeps giving me worse and worse possible outcome's and i recently started getting back into competitive golf.

if it was a broken foot it might have been better lol. it technically didn't break the entire foot but just shattered little fragments off most of the bones and dislocated the main bone that connects your big toe. basically look at your big toe, and imagine it being where your middle toe currently is and pointing to the right(on your right foot), that's what it looked like lol.

the other thing is, sometimes it's hard to see ... if it's like 3 lanes (one lane each way and a turn lane)...

buuttt.. then again.. part of being a responsible driver is knowing the traffic that is still like.. a block away, so that when you're in the position that you can't see that lane that you have to cross, you'll know whether or not to expect traffic.

see i saw him, and saw him approaching the turn and thought to myself "there's no way in hell this guy is dumb enough to turn or even try to turn." right after that thought my next thought was "Oh FUUUUCCCCCKKKKKK!!!!!!" then BAM! my foot got broken b/c i tried to break to not hit him that's all i can say to defent myself.

Driving ther huge cars they bought years ago barely able to see street signs.

to exceleratar, this wasn't my fault nor should i have been more observant as i'm NOT AT FAULT. if i was at fault you could say all the shit you've been saying but honestly, either quite rambling or get out. it's also proven that young driver's out drive old by anywhere from 6 to 1 to 14 to 1 depending on location you live in so i'd imagine the accidents go up. seriously, get out of my thread or post something worth while.

i wouldn't really be worried about fault... whats more important is getting that foot back in normal operation mode to get back to work -workmans comp sucks teh large scrotum... G35 aye?

no workman's comp as i have enough vacation time built up and it isn't revolved around work. yeah a g35 or mazda speed6 is what i will be getting by august 1st. i can't drive until about then so i'm in no hurry.
