Wait. after you created the partition you went straight to install? I think you skipped the format process. after you create partition you must format it. then you can install windows
Here is exactly what I did from the beginning.
Ok, I was experiencing problems with windows so I decided to reinstall it. I wanted to delete my HDD cuz there was alot of stuff I couldn't delete.
So I restarted the computer, booted from the Windows CD and it came to the screen where it says hit enter if you want to continue with setup or hit R for recovery.
So I hit enter, and at the bottom it said something like examining hard disk drive... and it took forever, like 5 mins. and I came back and it was at the EULA screen where it says hit F8 to agree. So I hit f8 and it says pick a partition you would like to install it on, so I selected the main partition that had windows already installed and it went to the next screen where I guess it copies files to hdd or something (can't remember been too long) and it said an error has occured please press f3 to restart, and it restarts the computer. Never gets passed that part, as soon as it gets to that screen it says error.
So I figured prolly something wrong on the HDD, so I decided I would format it some other way, thus I downloaded the free Kill Disk thing and created a boot disk with it on it.
Started up the computer with the boot disk and proceeded to delete all data on the harddrive.
However in the progress bar, it just said 0%, and after 10 mins it was still at 0% so I restarted and tried to install windows again.
Got to the part where it says select a partition, but there was none since they must have gotten deleted. So it said press C to create a partition, so I did. Then after a few minutes it was done creating the partition and went back to the screen that says select a partition to install windows on. I clicked the new partition, and it went to the next screen and still got same error //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/furious.gif.fc81ca146dbff91fede3ed290dbc4f4c.gif
