Only the Strong Survive
Well I was having a great day yesterday and it couldn't last could it?
I was driving back to work from my lunch break after ups dropped off my msd 6a, msd 8.5mm wires, new CAI and my blue LED's for the dash. So I was happy as could be and what happens, some f*cking moron decide's to not yield at a turn. The intersection is horrible for things like this and how there aren't accidents there 9-10 times a week i don't know. Anyway, he had an unprotected left turn and I had the green light to keep going straight as i was. So I'm cruising at 47ish (speed limit 45), and this dude turns as my truck is half way in the intersection. Long story short, jam on the break too late and BAM!
So I hobble out of the truck to my truck bed and prop my foot up as it hurts worse than anything I've ever felt in my life. Sit there and after ems arrive's they cut my lace's out of my shoe and take my sock and shoe off to find my entire foot shifted 2-3" to the right. Spent the next 24 hours in the ER and had orthopedic surgery on my foot around 10pm last night. The foot wasn't actually broken but dislocated bad enough that it chipped away 12 of the 20 different bones in my foot and my middle toe was completly gone. Basically it took little chips off almost every bone and fractured the other from the pressure of my big toe and 2nd toe pushing onto my 3rd toe. I hope that makes sense?
Anyway, my baby is gone to truck heaven and I can't put any weight or pressure on my right foot for 5-8 weeks or I risk having perm. injury to it and possibly crippling the foot. I will post pictures of the truck after someone else gets up there to get pictures. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif
