Drilling through the foam surrounds to mount sub.

So I just got my XXX 15 back from a recone and I noticed that the holes where you would screw the sub down are covered with the foam surround. I was thinking that since the sub is so heavy it wouldnt really matter or should I just screw it? The box is the "crx" style box. Where the cone is facing up instead of towards the tailights. My other question is, on the sub there are 4 pos. neg. (red,black) wire connector things. When the guy install the sub and amp is he suppossed to hook wires up to each one of them or just one? It will be off of a Viper 1200. Any help would be great. Thanks, Chief

Somebody please help me. Also when I take it to get installed I was going to write down my current mileage and I was going to sign it and get the guy to sign it. You think that would come off rude?

Is the sub dual 2 ohm or dual 4 ohm ?. Also is you'r amp stable at 1ohm bridged?

definitely screw it down. don't worry about the foam covering the mounting holes, it's suppose to be like that when you get a new sub/recone.

drill through the surround to mount it, dont just stick it in there lol. he needs to wire it in parallel (pos to pos on sub to pos on amp and neg to neg on sub to neg on amp)

make sure the gasket is lined up properly by looking from the underside of the mounting flange though

How do I tell? By what I understand it is 1ohm stable. I thought bridging was a bad idea. Does somebody know if the Viper 1200's are 1ohm bridged stable?

So if I am not mistaken that would only cover two of the four wire connector things on the subs. So should the installer guy go pos to pos to pos to pos on to to pos on amp and the same for the neg. Or is that just completely wrong.
