Drained battery now okay?

use a nut and bolt sef tapping screws arent all that reliable, hell ground to the strut bolt if you have the wire,

@murph
can u explain further why one shouldnt ground in the same place more than once? i have been doing it for years and i dont ever have problems never had a ground loop in my vehicle and i always ground to the same spot.if you have all you amps connected to the back batt in a car and that batt is grounded you are doing the same.

escentially the whole sheet metal of modern cars are grounding points as long as they all ground bas at the alt and if they all ground back to the same place they are all connected more or less one big piece and escentially one grounding spot

I wasn't saying grounding in the same place more than once the way you meant. I restated it further when he said they were both for his amp. From my knowledge you can ground amps to the same point but your not supposed to ground a battery and amp in the same spot. If there is any more info on this let me know because that is what I was told. Also having multiple grounds for an amp is actually bad in the case of increasing the chance of a ground loop.

I think I found the culprit Is this the result of a loose ground screw/low voltage? or high current pull

I replaced it with a longer screw, but I'm worried it still kind of moves when I try to move it, is there a way to make it more secure? be it redo it using loctite or finding a nut to fit the screw and try it that way or something.
Just for my reference, was the discoloration/cooking of this screw due to (what I suspect) the screw being a little loose thus moving, and too much current draw for my current electrical to handle?
