Well im going to start working on my box this weekend If i get my GF's box done and have been debating on how I wanted it. I was thinking downfiring the subs and porting to the side. Whats the advantages and disadvantages of this?

Box going into a 99 Sonoma Ext Cab.

Subs will be 3 Sundown E8's

Amp is AQ1200D

There will be 3.5 inches of space under the subs.

Box is 1.8 Cubes at 36hz.

Agreed with both above. I've done 2 boxes down firing now and working on my 3rd this weekend. Did 4 1508's with port and subs downfiring onto a false floor in my frontier ext cab and they sounded excellent and shook a lot of things //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif. I also did an E8 downfiring in my cousins Lexus with sub downfiring and port to the trunk and it got low and mean for only 200 watts. I'd say go for it and see for yourself //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
