Dual Skar EVL 12 Box - Downfiring

I am looking to build a downfiring ported box (subs and port firing down) for my Jeep Wrangler that will house two 12" Skar EVLs.

Couple of questions:
  1. A skar EVL 12 calls for 24 square inches of port area. When having two subwoofers in a single chamber sharing a port, should you double the port area? (which would make it 48 square inches)
  2. How are off the ground should the sub face and port be?
  3. Should I stick with the recommended box specs from Skar? They suggest 2 cubic feet tuned at 32hz per woofer.
  4. Any suggestions on bracing, double baffle, etc etc.?

Thanks all

Should of just bought the pre-built dual box loaded from Skar. The dual 10" I use now with their 1500.1 amp, total cost under 700, is on par with the $2000 custom built box and dual JL 10" and JL sub I once had. I'll assume your Jeep needed an awkward sized box to fit, plus the more "open air" style of vehicle you have probably presents many issues.

Great advice coming from another trusted long time contributor to the forum.

Buy prefabs and smile bruh.

"Sq over Spl" is your sig?

Derp...

*Edit*... even slightly bent after a few sips I just had to...

Tolerance of ignorance is a pandemic anymore, try to refrain from tapping the keyboard. There are actual "trusted experts" on the forum.

This is NO prefab yet reproduced MUSIC accurately and crushed the lows. The video I'll post clearly shows I was brain damaged at the time (stroke) as you will notice from my rambling and eyes that do not focus. Fetterman bass!
This 2 12 setup with Skar Evl-12s did ok...

Back when I couldn't communicate I recorded this video... lol. Watch when I get out and lean on the hatch glass. Things get rowdy then. This was a 5ft3 31hz tuned enclosure on a pair of CABs strapped at 1 ohm. Believe me when I say it played everything I asked of it. Eagles to Gangsta rap, Acoustic to metal.

To OP I would advise a 4th for that Jeep, downfire works but even when done right can emulate screaming into a pillow best case.
