the biggest differences between the 2 ( other than the zues has 2 sets of spaced spiders )

is the bl is a tiny bit more on the sa but the z12 has alot less mms and a lower fs

very close other than that...even box specs for both are almost the same...

so again cone area wins... just my opinion tho

was impressed with the 8's and 10's tho but not for the 200 a pop price tag at all ...

if the sa8 comes in a dvc2 then yes...

i was impressed at how low the pair i heard went.. they were hitting 25 and doing it pretty loud on 1kw to the pair..very clean as well

but so do the Zeus.. that was my only point...

all the subs he listed are gonna rock his world in that tiny cabin... he has a Z or am i the only 1 paying attention? it is a hatch car... a fart will flex the glass lolz

but given the fact that he can do 2 zeus for less than 1 of anything else and still bang hard loud low and clean and use the extra $$ saved on a custom box.... no brainer imo...

in all reality he should do 1 12" RD sonance dvc2 in 1.25 sealed or 1.75 ported at 32Hz and **** even the sa12...

I like that setup for the SA-8s Il see if they are dvc2, whatever that means.

they are a bit spendy and no you would need a custom box most likely... they are massive subs...more geared to SQ but put out some serious SPL

in all honesty any of the original subs you listed are gonna be more than you are expecting. you have a hatch.. subs up port back and your gold with even low end subs on 750 watts...

The Sonance is the best sub listed in this thread. Those things have a fine blend of spl and sq...

And sicaudio is right that pretty much anything in your car on legit power will sound loud to you...

And sicaudio, BL does not categorically implicate how loud a sub will be. It also has to do with the mass moved, weight/strength of spiders etc

the mms of the zeus is way less and it has double the spider ( 2 seperate 4 layer polycotton spiders spaced almost an inch apart vs the sa having 1- 4 layer..) that makes it get louder on less power... high bl and low mms = efficiency...less power and more boom //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

both are great subs imo i was basing my suggestion on $$ so he can get a real box instead of a prefab with the savings...lol

as for the sonance i cannot say enough good about them

RD has been my boner for along time lol

not many people do a 152 in a hatch in an sq install lol they really surprised me with the new models tho.. took 1200 rms each and wanted more..

TC Sounds Epic 12" DVC Subwoofer | Parts-Express.com

TC Sounds/Audiopulse Epic is a solid sub at this price, would hang with anything discussed so far.

The SA-12 is a great performing sub, heard a couple this fall and they sounded very nice in a moderate size ported box.

ALSO the Alpine Type R is a solid performer for the money.
