Looks like going to go with two of the SA-10s and get a custom ported box made to fit the car. Will I notice a big difference with these compared to my old memphis M-1s (12inch)?

That seems like it would also be a good fit for me, and I like the light weight of it. Since I am gonna have a custom box made I plan on doing 2 subs, so these subs would be great for my amp.I could push 500rms to each one

TC Sounds/Audiopulse Epic is a solid sub at this price, would hang with anything discussed so far.

The SA-12 is a great performing sub, heard a couple this fall and they sounded very nice in a moderate size ported box.

ALSO the Alpine Type R is a solid performer for the money.

Would this sub need to be ported or not?

you think 2-12s are to much sic? I originally wanted 2-10s I figured that would hit pretty hard in a hatch.

I don't know if space is a factor...but 2 SA-8's wouldn't need a lot & would still provide good output, while saving space....just a thought.

The hatch is sololy for stereo. The Z is my play car so I don't need the space for anything.Just need to deside on 10s or 12s

i had 2 rockford 12s off 400 rms sealed in a hatch and i thought it was pretty loud. much louder and would have had to turn it down.

u can go 12s and that way u know u have the max, and if its too loud u can turn it down. but i would say sundowns on some power, ported, be plenty especially for a hatch
