double din in navi

can anyone help me with some info on puttin a double din screen in a 1999 navigator, i talked to a local shop and they told me it would need some work for it to fit properly...has anyone here installed one that could help me out...im not sure what type of screen the guy wants in yet, but all i really want to know is if the shop is referring to like there being a gap around the screen and it needing a fiberglass trim piece or if there is a kit available...any help is greatly appreciated..thanks
