I'm building a new box for my hdc3. I believe this should be 4.5 cu ft. tuned to 38. Lmk what you get. Thank you very much!

35 width

20 deep

17.25 height

4.5 inch width port

15.25 inches port side

2.5 inches for the second port side inside (for L shape)

The port is 19 inches long for the whole L shape.

I would think your math is a bit off, mainly do to your height(15.75 not 15.25). Assuming your using 3/4 MDF with your hxwxd you get just over 5.6ft3.

port area for 4.5 should be around 70-72ish(which your close to)

I'm guessing your using the 15", your port will take up around .8-1ft3 for your application and after sub displacements and 45s/bracing your would be just a tad off with your current design.

Thanks Pro-rabbit. Now my box should be 18" after including the second top so yes, it should be 15.75 for the inside, sorry! Well. I already have all the pieces cut and started it but do you think it should be fine overall?

How long should the port be to get a 38 tuning?

When it comes to boxes in car audio, I have almost no clue about how to get the right cu.ft. and tuning.
