door speaker build log (pics)

Well I am making progress but this is a serious pain in the *** and is also very time consuming...I've spent at least 5 solid hours and I think I'm about half way done...and the glue will not come off my hands....I could use paint thinner but i've had so much on my hands lastly that I don't care to use anymore.

Just a FYI be carefull with covering up the bottom seam in your door cavity thats how water drains out, if you cover it all up your going to have standing water in your door

other wise everything looks good man

yeah there is a hole in the corner of the door I don't think it's covered by anything.

I'm going to try using the high pass filters on my comp amp to clean up the occasional muddyness of my setup... but not sure about matching the levels because I have each speaker on seperate channels. I'm guessing I won't hear a difference if one crossover is set at 100 and the other is set at 93. I had tried using them before and wasn't happy with what they could do...but that was a totally different setup...waiting on a used cda9830 for time alignment of these *****es.

well I just went for a quick drive...I set the crossovers to hpf 120hz. The sound seemed to lack tone and detail. turned the crossovers off when I turned around and my speakers distorted a little when I tried to play the same track at the same volume that I did with the crossovers on...I'm going to try them at 60 hz and see if they don't regain some detail...hopefully they will blend with my sub better which is set at about 60.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/confused.gif.e820e0216602db4765798ac39d28caa9.gif
