Door panel speakers, help please

Hi, just need a little help here. I have some Quart RCE216's, they are screwed onto the door panel of my car, (94 Geo prizm) so the panels are very flimsy. I want to achieve a better low end. So what i want to do is mount the speaker on a MDF board that will be screwed onto the door panel. Will this be enough to separate the front and back waves? I know technically a Infinite Baffle configuration should be "infinite", but by mounting this on my door panel, there will always be some leaks around the panel. Is this solid enough, or should i be looking for a way to mount this on the metal of my door??

Thanx in advance, all help is appreciated.

I have already deadened the metal on the door (both parts of metal), as well as the door panel. Just want to make the installation a little firmer.

first of all they are only door speakers, use a "closed baffle" on the back of your speakers forget your door. mount it on the wood, cut out some dynamte (or something like it) to seal any hole after the speaker is mounted if you poke a hole the baffle

or should i be looking for a way to mount this on the metal of my door??
I'd either do that or build door pods

And is your inner door currently sealed like this?

My door is like that, except the hole is not covered. Since i was planning on mounting it to the door panel, i read in some other posts, that would be unecessary. Is building a door pod more complicated than taking a MDF board and bolting it to the door panel, and then covering it in fabric? That was my original idea.
