DONE With Pioneer

I've been doen with pioneer since I installed my first system....Pure sh*t....Then i found Kenwood Excelon and it's been love ever since....There is no better quality HU on the market for the past several years as Kenwood...They have been in every one of my 6 cars....even my last Kenwood got fried from a crappy Metra wiring harness and I bought the same exact Kenwood again!

Cool story Bro..... But I am really starting to like Eclipse decks. I was having issues with my 800PRS. It would not eject the face or power up. What I ended up doing was cleaning off the leads and I haven't had an issue with it since.

I love the Eclipse decks.

I ran a Pioneer Premier DEH 680MP for awhile and it was great until I hooked it up to an amp and got the infamous Pioneer alt whine issue. Stupid pico fuses.

Sold it to my buddy who wasn't using an external amp and it's still sounds good.

I won't deal with Pioneer simply because of the alt whine problems.

I went from that Pioneer to an Alpine CDA-9887 and loved that unit as well. It had a bunch of awesome features... Kinda wish I still had it. Switched from that to the Eclipse CD7000 which still stands as my favorite HU to date. Unfortunately I traded that for a Kenwood Excelon XXV-01D + cash. Don't get me wrong the Kenwood is awesome with all the settings and changeable EQ and X-overs. I just can't stand fidgeting with a HU for 3 weeks to get the right sound out of it. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif

My next HU will either be the iVA-W505 I have been waiting VERY patiently for or the new Eclipse AVN-762e.

I'm heavily leaning towards the Eclipse.

I have had my share of problems with pioneer too:verymad: lol but I still love the premier line:crazy:
Now that's true love, lol. Sounds like you're talking about a marriage.

I've been a hardcore Clarion guy since day one and I bought my first Pioneer (800PRS) a year ago. No problems as of yet and I love the feature set.

My Clarion is going on 5 years and is still going strong. I'd still put it up against any other active deck out there. I know, it doesn't do Bluetooth or iPod, but it does exactly what I need it to do... sound good. No whine issues, no ejecting issues, no faceplate issues, no touchscreen issues, nothing.

I love pioneer and have always used them. I have a DEH-7700mp from I think 05 thats been through tons of use and abuse and it still works well. Has good audio control and a voltmeter built in thats accurate to within -1/+1 tenth of a volt. I can get a newer version for cheap but I cant let this one go.

i had a pioneer deck, blew the rca grounds and i had to ground them to the chassis it pissed me off, ill never run pioneer again, ill never run anything other than the alpine cda series.

my 7600 had a problem with the connections on the face plate where it wouldnt turn on but i would put a very light amount of dielectric grease and it worked fine for about 6 months then id have to re apply it. ive had that one since like 03-04 and it still works, gave it to my friend but the display wont light up anymore but he hasnt put any grease on the connections since i gave it to him a few years ago.

currently i have an 8600 but it wont turn on sometimes unless you wiggle the faceplate
