do you tip on a take out order at a restaraunt?

Might i mention, for the first year and a half i was making 4000+ a month from a 5-6 hour a day job.. but like i said, i nearly run the place and all the customers know how much of the work i actually do. Pay from the job was 6 even an hour, but the customers took very good care of me.. until the local economy started hurting too

Would you tip at wal-mart?
I solely rely on tips, as my hourly pay would cover gas and food basically. Completely different, depending on type of restaurant. I've seen people payed 4 an hour in restaurant jobs, because they live off of tips.

$900 a week in tips where the **** did you work at?!

I tip because I am not a stingy low life piece of white trash. But I respect the rights of those who choose not to tip.
you sound like you are or have been in the food service industry and have had your hemorhoid flare up over getting stiffed on tips //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/confused.gif.e820e0216602db4765798ac39d28caa9.gif

the cook gets paid to cook, the b!tch answering the phone gets paid to be a b!tch answering a phone, and I get to pay them to do their job. If they were to walk the 4 blocks and drop it off for me then I'd tip the heck out of them.

Oh well, I respect everyone's opinions and rights since its not my $ or time //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif so tip or dont tip!

So....you should be tipped because you are paid a low amount?

I dunno if you guys have a place called SONIC.... but its like fast food that u drive up and order via personal menu thing and press a button and order etc...

They then walk out about 20 steps and hand u ur food...

Alot of people tip there.... and im like... WTF all they did was carry the food like out the door to my car. Sometimes people act like im such a terrible person when i dont tip there... its ghey - they get paid min wage plus hourly already

I tip but only around 10%. Someone had to package it for carry out, so there was some "waiting" done. I am also not a tight ***.
Before I shower to go to my job, i will mention that i bag the food, take the orders, run the cash register, deal with the problems in the restaurant and fix or at least help fix the mistakes that occasionally occur.. I'll have one person to help me who is cooking food and preparing sushi most of the time, and answering the phones while i'm delivering food and correcting mistakes. We are open 362 days a year, and me along with the owner work 7 days a week constantly unless i find 2 people to replace me for a day. To be honest, its not hard work as long as you pay attention and it keeps you busy.. You learn to move very fast and multitask
