It says 750 rms 2000 max on my 15 box. 10 and 12 are 500.

nope not really.. the 12s are 500.. btu i think the 10s might be 500 too? nto sur eif 10s and 12s share the same motor but 12s and 15s dont to my knowlege

i just checked the alpine website, and the 15 IS 750 watts.. i really thought it was 1000 watts too, but i guess thats the type X

and to answer your question, the type r will be able to handle less than its RMS.. heck, it can handle 1100 watts easy.

zsondy1 has his 15 taking a Colossus @ 2 ohms daily no problem.

My mistake. I thought I read somewhere they have the same motor but I could be wrong. Post edited.

he is right the 10 and 12's use a 2 inch coil and the 15 uses a 2.5 '' coil
