I was going to post this in the other Eclipse Aluminum thread ut I did not want to thread jack. I am thinking about picking up a new in box one off Ebay but do not know where to find recommended enclosure size. Eclipse does not have product download stuff on their website. Secondly how would this sub compare with my current sub (12" D series round solo).

Going from memory, I believe the recommended enclosure size is around 1cuft or 1.25cuft.

The Eclipse will get louder. Sound very close to just as good if not just as good. Been a while since I've listened to the old round solo's....but the Alums are very nice sounding subwoofers aswell.

Thanks for the reply. I love the old solo, I have 3 now. One 4 ohm and a pair of 8 ohm's. I wanted to down size from a pair of subs to one and it is just not loud enough, although I still have some tuning to do. Were the eclipses designed for use in sealed/ported enclosures. Thanks again.

One last question, how does this sub compare with the SS RL-P. I have read through many posts here trying to figure out the relationship between OEM subs and TC Sounds. I know both the Eclipse and SS subs are based off of TC Sounds subs just not sure which ones. Thanks again!!

Eclipse Aluminum 10's or SS RL-P 10's based on your presence in the SS board over on Sound Solutions I assume you are talking about RL-P's?
No, he's talking about the Eclipse's

There's no such thing as an Rl-p 10" //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif SS only makes the RL-p in 12" and 15"

My bad, I should have know that as I have been doing some research in the last month or two for new subs.
