Do you like my ground?

The place where the spare tire is tightened. I sanded it and went to the hardware store and got the right size bolt and a washer.

What do you think?

That would be the LAST place i would ground my amps. There are dozens of other places within 15" that would do better. Thats good for about 20-30w maybe running a set of coaxial speakers. scratch the floor and use the proper location. 4 spot welds...Bet they are painted as well..

Why is everyone fixed on the spare tire and not having one. He is asking about the ground quality and if you like or not. Never did he ask if you all cared about losing a spare tire or not.

what are you gonna do if you have a flat tire?

Well since he did not ask....who cares, its his problem.....What about his ground????????

Spare tires are for pvssies..and most new cars dont even come with a spare

Well since he did not ask....who cares, its his problem.....and your an ID10t

What about his ground???

I do except for my rubber bamd 22s my machine wont do them well ..yea nobody touches my car

I bet a bunch of people have "touched" your car.....and who cares.....what about his ground????

When I had my 2 OA 12s in the truck I got a flat tire and released I couldn't get my spare out. Happened twice…. Then I walled it off and had nothing in my truck and never got a flat.. lol

who cares...what about his ground????he is asking for your input on his ground.....

I was thinking about putting my amps in the spare tire well of my car but I figured as soon as I took out the spare I'd get a flat, that's just how things seem to work for me. I couldn't get to it if I wanted to anyway

who cares about what you want to do......what do you think of his ground??????

I could keep going on but its a waste....

WHAT ABOUT HIS GROUND???????WHAT DO YOU THINK OF HIS GROUND????????

all that answered this post about his ground seem to be of some sort of intelligence. all the others, you are a complete waste of this persons thread.

This is by far my favorite post I've ever seen on here in quite a while.

OP get rid of that ground right now.

So change ground and put back the spare tire and all will be good.just kidding but like mentioned above you might be better off with another ground closer to your amps.you probaly like the easy bolt action you discovered but if it is tack welded you probaly should put another bolt through some solid metal.as far as the spare i agree roadside assistance works better.I just took out my spare for extra space for amps myself.

I'm beginning to like this guy.. I was thinking the same thing but didn't have the heart to say it lol thanks for your critique :)

ground sux. create another one directly on frame. Grind down paint for best electrical conductivity. If possible, use nut and bolt instead of screw.

Another dumb location "directly to the frame".....why go there?......the floor of the vehicle is the best location in the area given.

I am surprised you had the intelligence to bold the words "spare tire"..i see what you did there..very clever, very clever indeed.....wow such hard work only took 2 days!!!stick to moving lawns and watching tv and leave the car audio to the adults....

lol who are you and why are you crying?

the floor of the car is the "frame" in the car audio world.

Also, thank you for noticing the hidden words in my post. You are rewarded with this.

not cyrin' at all...just settin' your dip shittin' a** on fire cause your a stupid a**. Pretty sure the floor of the cab of a vehicle would be the bottom of the "BODY" of the vehicle. oh yeah thats right, most new cars us the term "UNIBODY" not "UNIFRAME".......the "FRAME" would be what the vehicle sits on...also pretty sure when you have a truck bagged or "LAYIN' FRAME" the body/floor is not on the ground(I've have 2). Get your "TERMS" right.

This is a FRAME:
