DO NOT go to CIA Engineering for amp repair

well, i got an email from JK yesterday saying my amp will be done with extra burn in testing by wed or thursday at the latest. he says he just wants to give it plenty of test time to make sure everything is ok, so we'll see

wow this thread is back up? no call no nothing? i dont care what anyone says. Whether youre Limited to a repair shop/person or not, poor customer service is Never acceptable. ouch, and i thought mine was bad. i just hate getting deadline after deadline that just comes and goes. i mean why even give a deadline if you cant deliver? and from the way i have read they have treated a few others around here, im not wanting to forward them the thread until i have my amp back, they seem like the types to realyl mess your amp up on purpose for saying negative things about them, but as soon as i get it back, he'll get this thread.

ok, well i got yet another email yesterday. said that my amp is repaired, that it blew his 2 ohm test sub, lol, and that he is going to continue to test it over the weekend, and it will be packed and shipped out on monday if all other testing goes well.

well, it was supposed to be sent out yesterday, as he told me last friday. yesterday i get an email asking what headunit i have so he can set the "level" for me,which i assume means gain, so i wrote him an email back giving him that information, and today i have heard nothing. so, yet another lie on deadlines. people be warned about these guys, they take their sweet arse time and dont care about giving u false deadlines time after time.

 
i got my amp back yesterday from audiotekx. they had it since last monday, found nothing wrong with it except a few cracked joints around teh rcas and then sent it back. weather delayed it but got it yesterday. pretty fast imo. sorry to hear about your shitty cs experience from cia. good luck with it all

thanks man. i personally think its bad enough i have been waiting 2+ months, but the lie after lie about deadlines is really annoying.

 
well,no real updates. i got a tracking number on monday, but all it says is UPS has received the billing info, not that the package has been shipped. i will be making a real thread to document why people should NOT use CIA when i finally get my amp back.
