My wife has an 07 suburban with the factory bose system. I was wandering if there are better speakers than the bose. Not wanting to spend a butt load of money. Also looking for a little more bass. What would yall recommend. No looking for a lot of pounding just something more than stock.

if there's a stock amp installed, you'll have to do more then just replace some speakers.....

It is the stock amp. Let me here some suggestions. Focals are too expensive. Looking maybe to replace the front speakers and then maybe some small subs in the rear hidden out of the way. Can I do 1 amp for the front speakers and the subs. Can this be done for around $500-$600.

x2 on having to do more than replace speakers.... unless you get lucky

Premium sound packages **** royally.

Honestly I have more experience with the bose in nissans than the GM's, and they are much easier to f around with.

You may just want to install a cd player and run all new lines to your new speakers. Or disconnect all factory shit and put a cd player in, run an amp, and run all the lines to the speaker from the amp.

Its a pain in the ***, but for the average joe that hasnt bypassed amplifiers or tried to integrate them... its gonna be the way with the least headaches.

then when you get done you realize you paid 1500-2500 bucks for mediocre stuff made out of shitty materials and an obscure 100 watt amp with 1980s style heatsink fins sticking out

Agree with this post, however not understanding your last post, lol!

To the OP, I would check into either some Image dynamics Componets for up front or the newer line of the Pioneer Premier D series or the PRS line of Pioneer, which is a little more chedder. Still right around 250 for a componet set and the D series I paid 120, but can be had at 100-140 depending where you shop online at. If you want to run rear speakers again check into ID or Pioneer coaxils.

One guy recommeded that ED(Elemental design) Nine.5, which is a nice multi-channel amp for not ubber expensive so you can run your speakes and a sub if you wanted. Might be an amp I will check into myself.

A nice sub you might want to look into is the SI BM, which runs about 150 IIRC shipped from their site. They might have raised it a little more and is quite not out yet, but will be out very soon. Calls for very little airspace if you are trying to save space.

So at most with the stuff I suggested at the highest price is 600 something as I can't remember how much the ED amp runs. So did it at 200 plus, might be more I am thinking though.

Just trying to help.

you're gunna need a bypass harness or a stock HU remapping component such as rockfor 3sixty. Best this to do is have a shop look at it and tell you what you need and then buy it on your own. Usually audio shop quotes are free and they can tell you what you need
