I am still learning everything about car audio.
Amp: Infinity 475a 75 watts RMS x 4 channel at 4 ohms
Speakers:
4 Kenwood Kfc-6993Ps 6X9 120RMS 4ohms (back speakers)
2 Alpine SPR-17C 6-1/2" 100rms 4ohms (front speakers)
This sounds great with my subwoofer but after reading this and that, I am wondering if I should get a more powerful amp. These speakers are only using mid and high frequencies as my subs are taking care of the lows.
I have 240rms going just for my back speakers and I just bought 2 more speakers for my front speakers (once i figure out how to add them to the doors) which will bring it up to around 200rms.
Any recommendations or should I just keep what I have?
I got my subwoofer setup from an older friend. Very old very good but my amp broke //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif (looking to get a new one but can't figure out the spec of the the subwoofers)
Subwoofer setup:
Amp: Kenwood KAC PS200T 300rms? broken - goes on and off with bumps on the road //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif
Subs: 3 MTX5000 Thunder 10''
How can i figure out the ohms of my subs? I cannot find the serial number anywhere lol
I know that i need a 750 rms amp with ? ohms. the ? can be 4, 8 or 12. Ugh
Any recommendation on an amp that would be good anyways would be great.
TLDR: Speaker wattage RMS is higher than Amp watt rms - should upgrade?
No specs on subs, amp broke - need a 750 w rms amp. The ohms of the subs could be 4,8 or 12...
