Do I need to change anything to my box dimensions if i want my driver firing down?

I have an re audio *** 12 and i am gonna build a box thats 2.15 cubic feet at 33 hz but i kinda want it firing downard. I know some 12s need to be firing backwards but any suggestions or comments? Any help would be greatly appreciated thanks? also where can i find some pink carpet for my box lol
