Do I need to beef up my electrical?

yes you need to beef up a few things, first off the 0 awg big 3 is a good idea. other than the charging stud should be in 4 awg. the reason i say that is that you run the risk of burning the charging stud off the alt. also you will need another battery in the rear. I am using a Duralast marine battery. It has 1000 cca and has a 115 ah with a 180 reserve cap. It works great and i also am running 2 30 farad caps but i've run the 1000/1 off a single battery alone and it runs like a champ with 0 light diming. I am using the 1000/1 in a 2005 dodga dakota. The alt are the same. Also I would say try using a missing link audio module. They work great and give you about 15 volts rms when there is a current draw. but i'm running a single 1/0 to the back batterie on the pos and neg side. then a 4 awg splitter to run to the 1000/1 and the 4 ch i'm using. I say do the same thing i did. the battery is only 98 bucks at autozone and works perfectly. its has a fast recharge rate and puts out a lot of power for a long time. Its a dual purpose battery its a starting battery for rapid discharge and its also a deep cycle battery and will let you drain it lol.
