Do I need the BIG 3 upgrade

I just bought a 200 Amp Isolator so i can charge two batteries without straining my Alt.

So my question is would i still need to do the Big 3 upgrade?

The ISO has nothing to do with the alternator. Your going to need more then just the big 3.

Yes......everyone needs the big 3, they just don't realize it.

i bought the ISO in hopes that it will not put are really bad strain on my Alt trying to power 3 batteries at once. I have took the battery out of an 2003 Grand Marquis. the battery has 650 cranking amps.....I dnt want to use that battery anymore since i was told that is its dangerous to have a wet cell batt in the car.

No matter how beefy you make you electrical system the Big 3 is really where you should start. Wires are very importants, and you can have all the power in the world but you cannot effectively utalize it without proper wiring. Imagine trying to run rush hour traffic in New York through a dirt road.

My recommendation is you do a lot more research before installing any equipment. You have equipment that will fry, or kill your electrical if not installed properly. Chances are you do not know how to do it. So my guess would be that you will crank the gain on the amp as well, frying your subs. So do us all a favor, and read, search, read, search, and read some more. Whenever you have a question, google the crap outta it. It will raise more questions. Read them and research them. When you think you cant research, or cn't find an answer to your question....then come here and ask. It will make you a much better informed person.
