Do I need more power, or better subs?

why not go ported? if you can't fit two subs ported do one ported.

mine is ported, but tuned low....you can find a happy medium between vented and sealed

mine are the rsd's....and i will be putting 600+ on each of my 10's when i get the money.....as you saw, they sound great on 230 each....300 each should be fine

I should also mention I am a SQ guy. I do not need SPL at all.

A lot of people say that, but then want more from their subs that is truly need in an sq system.

I have a pretty nice enclosure, but I do not know the specs.I really just do not like how 'loose' the bass sounds. For example during fast double bass, they cannot keep up.

Where did you get this box? I think that you would be lucky to have accidently gotten one that happened to optemized for your subs.

the PG RSD looks nice. Problem is I would need a new box. I have a dual 12, and it is not a truly sealed box. I guess I could get a new one, and go with a single 12"

You may very well need a new one anyway. What do you mean that it is not really sealed?

Do you know what frequencies you are asking your sub to reproduce?

Don't take this the wrong way, but if I was in your situation I would spend a while researching before I spent any more money.

And the Mag is a sub made by Stereo Integrity.
