Do I need more power, or better subs?

I currently have 2 Phoenix Gold Xenon 12D2's, powered by a PG 600.1 xenon amp.

I was wondering what would be a better upgrade:

Get more powerful amp, or get a new sub(s).

I really just do not like how 'loose' the bass sounds. For example during fast double bass, they cannot keep up.

I was looking at getting a couple of PPI flat cones, or maybe some ID's

Wait for the new mag's. One is probably exactly what you are looking for.

Or ID's are a good choice, you wouldn't be dissapointed with those either.

gotcha. my Treo SSi was the same way, just sounded sloppy. swapped out to the Dayton HO and now i am happy with my sub-bass.

another good choice would be an IDQ V3.

the PG RSD looks nice. Problem is I would need a new box. I have a dual 12, and it is not a truly sealed box. I guess I could get a new one, and go with a single 12"
