do i need a stronger alternator

i have 4 6.5" speakers and 2 12" subs and those get loud enough to hurt your head and make you sick... 8 6x9's............? usualy people avoid 6x9s cause the sound wave they produce is distorted. but im sure you spent a lot of money for all that so ill hold my opinion.
How is the sound wave distorted?,could it be that most 6x9's are fed way too much low bass, while being mounted in rear decks free air or in flimsy doors by people that dont know the limits of they're equipment?. just a thought

my mistake I meant 8 6x9s. i know its a lot but i like my sounds loud, do to all the spanish music i listen too.
I can guarantee you 2 high quality component sets with 200RMS would sound better and get louder than all those 6 x 9s. More does not always equal 'louder' and 'better'.

not all the time but it sure does help
Typically only in the sub range. When you add more to the mid and high, unless you really know what you're doing, have the proper processing equipment and know how to TA/properly cross/etc, then you just lower the quality of your sound stage for minimal if any gain in DB.

Then again, the average Joe probably wouldn't be able to tell the difference //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
