Do I need a line output converter?

I have a Jeep Grand Cherokee with an Infinity Gold sound system, so it doesn't have rca outputs anywhere. I spliced an RCA cable to the back speakers wires so I have a left and right to connect to my amp for my subs, so I don't need a LOC, right? Like it won't hurt anything by doing it this way?

You can't just splice in RCA's to high level speaker outputs. Either wire the amp via high level / speaker inputs with an adapter plug that should have came with the amp when it was purchased (Provided that said amp does in fact have high level inputs), or get a line out converter
