I've been running ~750RMS for about 4 years now on my stock battery and alt in my 03 civic.

Im planning on upgrading the speaker amp, so the total will change from 760RMS total to almost 900RMS.

Should I be worried about putting too much stress on my electrical system yet?

If so, whats the cheapest I could go about this? Would just a better battery do the trick?

Get a bigger/better front battery if you haven't already.

And big 3 as suggested. If you notice dimming when you play it loud, please post back here.

my headlights already dim when i play it loud at my current set up. But its been doing that for the 4 years I've had the system, and my car has been fine.

Is the big 3 relatively easy to do by yourself? Will car shops do this for me if needed?

what's a mids high amp?

I'm running a kicker thats prob pushing 300rms ea. to two 12's, and a infinity amp running a pair of comps at 90rms each.

its slight dimming when my whole system is playing as loud as it can.

a mids/high amp is just that an amp that runs your>>>>>>>yes you guessed it mids and highs.anyways I've been running a small batt in the back of my wifes car with stock elec since 2002 and never had a problem. shot you could even pick up a small cheap batt from walmart to run

what would be better, getting a good upgrade to my current battery? or adding a new battery?

i think one of those options in conjunction with the BIG 3 would leave me in a good position.

The alternator in your car is only 80 amps peak, that is pretty low. I would change to a deep cycle battery with more reserve capacity. Also do the big 3 if you haven't yet. You should check what voltage is at your battery when you are running the system and the car is running. Around 14 volts would be optimal.

Find a welding supply store and get some 2/0 flexible welding cable. About 10 feet should be enough. And also get an ANL fuse holder with a fuse and ring terminals.
