Yota - you're a fu ck bag

While you clearly have a clue - you assume you're the all knowing and try to stomp on anyone who doesn't agree with you word for word. Unfortunately for you there are others out here who have a clue as well and don't mind telling you to fu ck off when needed. So fu ck off.

what I said was dead on.

No shyt batteries can provide hundreds of amps for short periods of time - they've got to start your engine after all.

There are two issues here you seem to want to ignore. Time, and the dynamics of current draw.

People have installed caps and seen immediate reduction in headlight dimming. I know that, and surely you do as well.

That's all i care to say.

Stomp on.

i concur

Horribly worded poll.
Yes, they work. To say otherwise would be silly. Ever look inside of basically anything electronic lately? //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

I voted Yes because it's the truth...

That was my logic

//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/rolleyes.gif.c1fef805e9d1464d377451cd5bc18bfb.gif well caps.... they look great....

can help with dim lights...

do put an extra stain on the chargeing system......(the caps draw juice also durrrrr)

they put out only when needed so if u want to stop dim lights, voltage drops get a ho alt *200 amp and up and be done with it

to help with voltage drops do the big 3

from alt to bat..... 0/1 ga

from bat to chassis ground 0/1

from chassis ground to motor 0/1ga

and that will help out a little but a cap, extra bat. and the big 3 are all just bandaids

u need an alt that can put out the proper amperage that your Total car is useing not just what the amp uses

x2 on the taser comment.

capicators work for many things. crossover slopes, discharging current at certain rates, keeping steady voltage levels, ect.

helping your vehicles electrical system with a large capicator drawing hundreds of amps per minute? i doubt they help the way people precieve (and manufactueres label) them to help.

When i was a noob i had an rf 1 farad cap ghetto'd into my set-up. My box wasnt screwed down and the cap was screwed to the box. When the box would shift pretty hard, the wire would rip out and it was pretty audible when it wasnt hooked up.
Do they do anything?...sure

can your dollar go further?........yes
it depends on the application but like ive read before if used properly then can help. ive seen gains of .3-.4 in my spl setup. and its not wired to the amp...... but for diming lights i would rather buy another battery or bigger alternator. but if your a competitor and got limited batteries in your class. then theirs a way where they will gain you spl without a doubt.
