Sold Directed Crossover Cheap

I have the above for sale. It is used and has some minor blemishes on it which can be seen in the pics. Some black touch up paint or nailpolish will probably fix it, I'm just lazy. It works perfectly and specs can be found here

How exactly does this fit into a system? Need an amp to go with it?

No it's an external crossover. Say you don't have any crossovers on your headunit then this takes care of it. It also boosts the voltage from your headunit. Say you have 2 volt preouts it boosts it to 6.5volts (8 peak).
