Dimming still with extra battery

It is hooked up correctly. Possible problems can be that you haven't done the big 3 and the possibility that your alternator isn't sufficient enough to charge both batteries.
And whoever told you your system isnt being ran off of the rear battery is a moron.

i had the same problem I added another battery and of course you need to add a isolator on the second battery

I still ahve an isolator laying around. YOu dont need that unless you gonna sit around banging wit hyour car off for a long period of time

exactly. You have everything hooked up correctly, I would do the big 3 and see if that helps, if not, I would look for a bigger alt.

Check the voltage on both batteries before they are connected to each other, make sure you get a reading from the rear battery. Get readings from both batteries with the car on and off to make sure they are on the same page. And YES you wiring is correct.

Everyones telling you the right stuff.. Everythings hooked up fine and you should run 2 fuses between batts... Id try the big 3 up front and if that don't help bigger alt... I added back bat and did the big 3 still gettin voltage drops in low 13s but no dimming and its droppin cuz weak *** stock 60amp alt... but hopfully you have a bigger stock alt.. lincoln should.. good luck
