I rink im goof to go with he icon and add another just do to the fact that the icon is a few months old where the de is from 01 and I would want to add another subwoofer.. right now u have a kicker l7 15 so hopefully the icon is at least as good as that one.

To the OP, the fact remains that you are comparing an SPL sub woofer to a daily driving SQ driver. One of them you are paying a name premium. So define your goals better first then start looking for options.

If you take the DD route I would highly suggest finding a used one on here. No point in paying the outrageous retail pricetag

And I was asking as have you tested them head to head to make a blanket statement like that?

 

I fully understand they are two different drivers for two totally different needs as they should not be compared, but it is a little foolish to say one will kill the other when they are not meant to compete.
