You're comparing a 9500 to an Icon? that's like a 500 dollar difference in price, maybe more. The 9500 should blow it away in almost every aspect, maybe just not SQ.

The SPL difference will be ridiculous. I'd do it and sacrifice the SQ.

You'll have to email DD. But you can get the Xcon for probably like 300 cheaper. I believe it's 375 on soundsolutionsaudio.com

If you take the DD route I would highly suggest finding a used one on here. No point in paying the outrageous retail pricetag

i have used ssa products and am partial to them , but i will say DD has some nice stuff too. Price wise i would take any SSA sub over a DD for the same price. Now if we get up to DD's higher end models its a different story.
