Digital Bass Reconstruction Processor and Bass Knob Trouble

I just purchased the Soundstream BX10X Digital Bass Reconstruction Processor. I currently have a custom slam panda RCA bass control knob on my system. My problem is that I dont know if I should connect the bass knob inline in front of the BX10 or between the BX10 and the amp. Any help with this would be greatly appreciated.

After the BX10. Otherwise, the BX10 may end up "correcting" the attenuation.
