Different Style Setup

I've heard a few hdc3 setups and none sounded hollow. They had a great bandwidth and got loud, it's all about the install.

Man, as soon as he said 2 15s, I want to do it but I don't think I can properly fit 2 15s in a 16height restraint and 38 wide and 24 deep. My box barely fit with an aeroport

I came to the conclusion that only if I need the space when the time comes, I'll downgrade. Don't want to do it if I don't have to.

So I did the math and the HO 15's actually do fit in your max space to the dot. It only needs about 3 cubes per sub ported whereas most 15's need close to 4 cubes per. I'll PM you the details of the design if you're interested.

Yellow is in ideal sealed and you can tell it barely gives you any lows.

Green is what winisd recommended for the flattest curve

White is what your curve will look like tuning at 27hz. I feel like it's the best compromise for this sub since the FS is so low. It likes a low tune.

so again.. it IS possible to go with 2 15's ported in that space.

yes good idea. I would do the same. I don't think going to 2 15's would be a downgrade at all. It might even be slightly louder than the 1 18 that you have.

@blazian87 Could I just use the same box and get a new top plate for it instead?
